On Thursday, Tesla’s stock dropped by more than 6% after that famous disaster of a failed demonstration of its Cybertruck.
“Sledgehammer impact on door cracked base of glass, which is why steel ball didn’t bounce off. Should have done steel ball on window, then sledgehammer the door. Next time …” : said Elon Musk in a tweet over the weekend to his 29.7 M followers. Four days later he showed a video of the all-electric truck winning a tug-of-war against a F-150 in spectacular fashion.
But let’s back up a moment to look more closely at what happened here which is the fact that most people don’t know :
Tesla’s newly revealed Cybertruck has already shown a high demand : 250k Cybertruck Orders after the media campaign of 100USD to reserve the truck (while Ford sold more than 900,000 units of its F-series across the United states last year) at the time of writing, which mathematically means :
100 USD x 250k= 25M USD
And the base version of the truck will start at 40k USD
40K x 250k = 10B USD
25% of the sales cost a Cybertruck show! … he is not Nikola Tesla or Isaac Newton but he’s Elon Musk. That very determined and hard working guy.
That sounds interesting!
