To this very day, NFC technology has always been so widespread, as many people don’t consider smartphones without a corresponding module. Indeed, sometimes you can forget about cash and cards in everyday life, everywhere paying for services and goods through NFC. Yes, many people, defending this technology, forget that still completely possible to switch to such a format of payment.
Whatever the case, Amazon has already an NFC alternative, even simpler and more convenient. As early as last year, it became known that the company, is developing a technology that will allow people to pay for goods and services using only their hand.
So now, we are talking about introducing special terminals with biometric sensors to the market, which will allow to use for payment of palms. This is not a fingerprinting. To register in the system it will be necessary once to carry out a simple procedure: Insert a card into the terminal and scan the palm. As a result, the unique pattern of the user’s hand will be tied to his card. However, this is only one of the working options of the registration process.
Amazon is already testing terminals on Visa cards and negotiating with Mastercard. Amazon plans to pitch the terminals to coffee shops, fast-food restaurants and other merchants. As result, there will be an increased speed of work which is about 300 ms.
