Depending on the huge databases or the Big Data (which Korea used to record all data of its citizens and foreigners, medical centers, communication networks, etc.) and by using artificial intelligence based pre-warning systems, South Korea managed to gain a competitive advantage over the CoronaVirus through several steps:
1 – In an event where a person is infected with the Coronavirus, a notification will be sent to all persons in the vicinity of him with all the details, movements and locations of the infected person during the last two weeks.
2 – Notifications are sent to travelers at the nearest test center for the CoronaVirus.
3 – In an event where a person in a populated area is sick, temporary medical centers are immediately established to provide testing for all surrounding residents.
4 – South Korea used data analysis and artificial intelligence to identify the most vulnerable and potential areas for the spread of the virus and thus to conduct awareness campaigns and provide medical services in those areas proactively.
5 – Using artificial intelligence, Korea was also able to design and implement supply chains for medical masks and all medical supplies to ensure they reach all regions.
