MediaTek just announced Dimensity 1000+, the company’s latest 5G flagship, in China. The company focused on increasing the performance of the chipset by introducing new technologies and supporting modern features.
During the Dimensity 1000+ presentation, the manufacturer did not go into technical details. One of the main differences compared to the regular Dimensity 1000 was the support of screens with an update rate of 144 Hz instead of 90 Hz. The new chip is equipped with a built-in 5G modem with carrier assembly and Mediatek 5G Ultrasave technology; which dynamically adjusts the power supply and operating frequency of the modem according to network conditions and user actions to save significant energy.
Another innovation was the support of Hyperengine 2.0 technology; which was used to improve gameplay by optimizing the use of system resources. However, Mediatek focused on the visual component with its branded Miravision technology. Said invention makes it possible in real time to regulate the contrast; sharpness and color transmission of a frame in order to improve the quality of the output image. In addition, the Miravision Picture Quality Engine offers a more accurate calibration of the picture and a wide dynamic range compared to the HDR10+. Finally, Miravision improves regular SDR videos to HDR quality.
Already in the near future Mediatek promises the appearance of devices based on Dimensity 1000+. The first new processor will receive an un-announced iQOO smartphone, a vivo subbrand.
