The social networking site Facebook revealed the inclusion of its service for the conference via video messenger rooms in its application for chatting and instant messaging WhatsApp, in order to compete with the applications currently in the foreground.

Facebook announced at the end of last month the launch of its new service, Messenger Rooms, which is a special service for the conference via video, and therefore it is a step from Facebook that comes to compete with the existing applications, which have gained more momentum during the last period with the spread of quarantine across the world , like Zoom, Skype and Google Meet.

Messenger Rooms is directly linked to Facebook’s application for chatting and instant messaging, but it is also linked to the rest of the applications for Facebook, which means that its use will be possible from other platforms, including smart assistance devices, and this service allows the participation of more than 50 people in one chat room.

WaBetaInfo wich is a website specializing in WhatsApp affairs, confirmed that the beta version of WhatsApp version 2.2019.6 now allows access to Messenger Rooms from WhatsApp, but without specifying a deadline to adopt this feature in the official version of WhatsApp Web.
