A few days ago we knew how an application became viral, this application stood out for removing apps developed by Chinese firms, such as ByteDance’s TikTok and Alibaba’s UC Browser, Helo, ShareIt and other apps. The controversial app has received its own medicine and did exactly what its name suggests, being kicked out of the Google Play Store.

The app that uninstalls Chinese apps is ejected from Google Play

A few days ago we knew an Indian application developed by Indian firm OneTouch AppLabs, although its developer claimed it was created for educational purposes, its use was fraught with controversy. Its name was Remove China Apps, which didn’t take long to go viral.

The operation was simple, the mobile scanned your apps and uninstalled those of Chinese origin, something that has caught the attention of Google Play, which has not taken long to take action.

According to Techcrunch, the app violated Google Play’s Deceptive Behavior Policy. The specific reason why the application has been ejected is that make changes to a user’s device settings, or features outside of the app, without the user’s knowledge and consent.

The app’s removal goes back to a campaign last month to down-rank TikTok on the Google Play Store after a backlash by fans of a popular Indian YouTube creator. Which comes at time of border dispute that fuelled and prolonged conflicts.
