Facebook suffers from a big problem, and it is the problem that relates to the illegal exploitation of its name by some parties, and it seems that Facebook is no longer able to turn a blind eye to these abuses, and this is what finally prompted them to choose the path of legal prosecution in right of some quarters.
Some sources have indicated that the social media platform decided to pursue a lawsuit in the US state of Virginia against an Indian group called “Compsys Domain Solutions Private”, where Facebook accuses this Indian company of illegally using its name through the exploitation of domain names on the Internet in which it claims its affiliation to Facebook, which may give the wrong impression to users who may visit these sites.
According to Facebook, it is related to 12 domain names with different names, but they are similar in referring to Facebook and its services like : facebook-verify-inc*com and instagramhjack*com or also videocall-whatsapp*com, and Facebook says that it searches regularly in the Internet On domain names and applications that violate their registered trademarks in order to protect people from phishing, identity theft and other Internet fraud.
It is reported that Facebook has carried out similar campaigns over the past years.
