Android Basics in Kotlin is the name of this Google course to learn at your own pace the basics of programming using Kotlin. At the moment, only the first unit is available, but the complete program is composed of 5 modules.
Following the same style as the rest of the Google courses, this new proposal combines many activities, videos and exercises to put into practice the concepts you are learning in the lessons. And of course, a fundamental requirement to participate in the course is to have a computer with Android Studio installed to perform all the practices.
If you want to keep track of your performance or follow up on the lessons you pass, you’ll need to sign in with your Google account. And the same applies if you want to get the badges offered by the course every time you finish a session of the program.
At this time, the course is only available in English. But if you don’t have a good command of the language, don’t worry, you can use the Google Translator extension to translate the content. A dynamic that you can also apply in videos, as they are hosted on YouTube.
Just play the video directly on YouTube, turn on the subtitles (which are in English) and use the translator extension to translate all the content. Of course, the translation will also include subtitles as they appear in the video.
