The intensity of the dispute has intensified during the recent period between the American authorities and its Chinese counterpart, especially with the threats of US President Donald Trump to ban the app TikTok as his status was not settled through the acquisition by Microsoft of its activities inside the American territories before September 15.

And the news that has spread over the past few days has indicated that negotiations between Microsoft and the Chinese company ByteDance have started, on the horizon of the acquisition of TikTok activities in America, which also concerns its activities on the territories of other countries allied to the United States of America such as Australia and Canada, and New Zealand. The US administration had previously accused the Chinese application of spying for the Chinese government, which the developer, ByteDance, has repeatedly denied.

China, for its part, responded to this news, as the Chinese government-backed newspaper, China Daily, reported by Reuters, that China would not accept what it called the American “theft” of the TikTok app, and the newspaper said that the “American thug” of Chinese technology companies was the result of a vision Washington with a zero score, “America First”, left China with no choice but to “submit to lethal combat in the tech world,” the newspaper said.

The newspaper also said that China has “many ways to respond if the administration carries out its planned and seizure operations.”
