Amazon reinforces its commitment to the gaming world with the launch of GameOn, its new social network focused on mobile players. The idea is that users can share moments of their favorite games on video with other users, both on their own GameOn profile and on other social networks.

To do so, users will find that the app supports entry with more than 1,000 mobile game titles, including Angry Birds 2, Clash Royale, PUBG Mobile, or Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, among other titles.

Playing with any of them, and coming the key moment, users will have a button for the start of the recording. Alternatively you can also use the Recall function to automatically get the last few minutes of your games.

The clips are in principle hosted on the mobile devices themselves. Users will have in the application a tool that will allow them to integrate video comments into their clips, in addition to the possibility of including subtitles, and adjust the final duration, taking into account that each clip must have a duration of between 30 seconds and a maximum of five minutes.

Once you already consider that your clips are ready to be uploaded, you can upload them from the application itself, and even share the corresponding links in other applications and social platforms.

As in other social networks, users will be able to track other users, and even comment and give «like» in their videos. But GameOn goes further by adding weekly TikTok-style challenges, among other social features.

Note that Amazon GameOn has no connection to Twitch, and is currently available for Android devices, both on the Google Play Store and the Amazon App Store, although there are currently geographical restrictions that prevent downloading the app globally.

It will also be coming soon for Apple’s iPhone phones.

Also remember that Amazon launched two years ago a platform, also called GameOn, so that developers can add competitions to their own titles, as we discussed at the time.
