Works of the period during his stay at the hospital in Arles, where he painted his famous bedroom, and much more, can now be found in high resolution in the new online resource Van Gogh Worldwide, the result of a partnership between museums that allow to offer this wonder to the world population.
The museums represented here are all in the Netherlands and include the Van Gogh Museum, the Kröller-Müller Museum, the Rijksmuseum, the Dutch Institute of Art History and the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum.
In addition to his paintings, we can see his drawings in pencil and paper, with landscapes and emotional figures from Van Gogh’s daily life.
Van Gogh Worldwide provides information about these works of art and the artist behind them. Behind-the-scenes museum information can also be found, such as details of restorations, images on the back and other notes.
This new resource expands the content of other digital collections, such as the nearly 1,000 online works at the Van Gogh Museum, where there are also short informative articles and links to literature on the works of art on display.
